THE HARDEST PART OF THE ADOPTION PROCESS | Adoption Process Basics

The adoption process can be so confusing and exhausting! If you're just starting the adoption process, whether domestic or international, or you're just wondering where to even begin, you're in the right place! In this video, we explain the adoption process basics, step by step, to hopefully help make it clear and give some understanding on how the adoption process works. We also talk about which part of the adoption process was the hardest for us and how we dealt with it.

We know every country is different, so this video is specifically talking about the adoption process in the USA. The international adoption process and domestic adoption process are different so we cover both but our experience is primarily in international adoption so we go more in depth covering that adoption topic. Understanding the adoption process requires a lot of research as there are so many options and routes available. We hope to simplify the process for you to give you a better understanding of how adoption works and some thoughts on international adoption vs domestic adoption. Think of this as your adoption process 101 training. This is the video I wish I had when I was starting the process and things I wish I knew before adopting a child! We are specifically speaking from our Philippines adoption experience but also give some great information that can apply across the board, whether you're pursuing a China adoption, domestic infant adoption, foster care adoption, or anything in between.

This video is in collaboration with our good friends and fellow adoptive parents, the Felts! Click here to watch their video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7w_UIkv5Iw
